There were clamours during the second half of Manchester United’s win over Burnley for a substitute to be introduced.
Alejandro Garnacho has developed into a superb substitute option and probably should be starting more games for the Red Devils.
The Argentine has yet to score this season but was a whisker away from netting a winner at the Emirates Stadium but his calm finish was ruled out for offside.
During the scrappy second-half win over Burnley, Viva Garnacho could be heard from the away end as it seemed the visitors were keen to see the Argentine brought on for the second half.

Ten Hag explains Garnacho absence
According to the Manchester Evening News, Erik Ten Hag gave his thoughts on the decision and explained just why the talented teenager was an unused substitute in the game for United.
“He (Garnacho) was in against Munich and I thought our team was playing very well,” Ten Hag said, “so I wouldn’t change that tonight because this game was a demand to keep that organisation. That’s why I wouldn’t change.
“I don’t want to say if it is the right decision or wrong decision, but again there was a moment that was not on our side. I wanted to avoid that and keep this team on because they did well.”
Should Garnacho start more
It’s fair to say the Argentine winger is certainly the type of player to keep you on the edge of your seat but the forward has not had many chances to start this season.
When he has been introduced, the winger has caused opposition defenders problems. It’s fair to say, he probably deserves more chances in a red shirt.
United play two games a week now with the reintroduction of the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Champions League, surely Garnacho will be given chances to prove he deserves more game time for the Red Devils.
