Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was not completely thrilled following the 2-0 victory over Everton at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag watched his side miss seven big chances throughout the game, scoring just twice from 29 shots.
“We have to be more clinical, clear. More ruthless in the box of the opponent, this game already has to be finished at half time.”
Despite the lacklustre finishing, ten Hag was still impressed by todays performance, heaping praise on his team.
“It was a brilliant performance, we have played three games in six days and they still delivered this, it is a big compliment to the team.”
Praise for Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay
Bruno Fernandes once again played in his new role as a deep lying playmaker against Everton. His performances have seen him heralded as a revelation, in a role United’s midfield has lacked this year.
Ten Hag was quick to pile praise onto the Portuguese vice-captain.
“I think he was brilliant and he has played brilliant in a deeper role and even last week against Newcastle he played very well and today – brilliant. He was definitely the best player on the pitch.”

Another player singled out for praise by the boss was Scott McTominay.
McTominay scored the opener during a frustrating first-half, continuing his goal scoring form after his fruitful international break.
“Great player, great personality. So happy I have him in my squad – he gives all his energy, never gives up, so it’s great.”
Update on Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford limped off the field late in the second-half and went straight down the tunnel in what seems to be a worrying knock.
On the injury ten Hag said, “I don’t know [about Marcus]. It is like this when you have to play so many games in short notice, especially when the schedule is this tight.
“Players can’t recover and you run the risk that players can get injured. You have to be aware of that.”
He added that a diagnosis will take place in the next few days to learn the full extent of the knock.
