Erik ten Hag has revealed he was aggrieved over the decision not to award Manchester United a penalty in the first half against Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford against Tottenham Hotspur but the North London side were much the better team in the North-west.
Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford struck for the Red Devils at Old Trafford but were denied victory with Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur scoring, after 50 seconds of the second half, but on the balance of play, Erik ten Hag should feel lucky to get a point out of the contest against a side looking for Champions League football.

Ten Hag aggrieved over penalty decision
Despite the Red Devils’ feeling lucky to pick up a point, Ten Hag, speaking after the game, feels aggrieved that United were not awarded a penalty for a foul on Alejandro Garnacho in the first half.
When asked whether he thought the tackle on Garnacho warranted a check from VAR, the Dutchman said: “Yes. What can you do? But I am used to it, all season that is the case. At Spurs, there was similar, clear handball from Romero and I can list a number more.”
“At some point of the season, I think it will turn to our side. Let’s hope for that.”
During the Red Devils’ trip to Tottenham in August, Cristian Romero stopped a goalbound shot from Garnacho with his hand but VAR, for some reason, failed to intervene and award a penalty for the Red Devils.
That was an injustice but this alleged foul from Destiny Udogie on the Argentine was certainly nowhere near as egregious as the previous decision back in August.
Ten Hag can’t rely on referees
There have been some disastrous decisions against the Red Devils this season that certainly deserve criticism but this excuse is now running thin at this moment in time.
United were dominated by a side in Tottenham who were missing a plethora of their key players which again goes against one of Ten Hag’s key excuses throughout this season as to why we haven’t seen more of the football that we did in the previous campaign.
The excuses are running out for Ten Hag. Once Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro return, the Dutchman seems convinced that the returning pair will be vital for their chances of getting back into the good times but fans are becoming less and less convinced that this is a possibility.
