Sergio Reguilon has certainly made a positive impact since his move to Manchester United this summer on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spaniard made his debut for United against Brighton & Hove Albion and certainly seemed to ingratiate himself with the Old Trafford faithful with a crunching tackle early on.
Since his debut, the Spaniard has become a fan favourite and his performance at Turf Moor will certainly keep him as the starting left-back, as Luke Shaw continues his recovery from injury.
One comment made by Erik Ten Hag at full-time may well mean the Spaniard becomes even more of a fan favourite for the Red Devils.

Reguilon’s issue
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag revealed that the Spaniard was struggling during the game but demonstrated his determination to play for the Red Devils.
“Reguilon was ill but he wanted to play,” Ten Hag revealed to the BBC’s Shamoon Hafez after the game. “It says something about his character and spirit. He wanted to play and contribute.”
The Spanish defender was questioned when it emerged that he would be the chosen left-back option to fill in for Shaw, who suffered a muscle injury and was set to be out until November.
Should United sign Reguilon
The former Sevilla left-back was a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in 2020, according to The Guardian, when the club were looking for competition to Shaw as the club’s only quality left-back.
Reguilon has shown a determination and a willingness to play for United that not many other new signings have shown over the years since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
The left-back’s determination was highlighted during the defeat to Bayern Munich when the defender raced over to the right-back position and put in a superb tackle on Leroy Sane to stop a counterattack from the German side.
It isn’t beyond the question that the former Spurs man could be kept on beyond next season if his loan carries on going as well as it has so far.
