Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has backed Rasmus Hojlund to become a Premier League goalscorer sooner rather than later.
United headed across to Yorkshire on Saturday night, taking on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The Blades have claimed just one point so far this season and Erik ten Hag will have been expecting three points.
Scott McTominay put United in front, only to then give away a penalty for handball, which Oli McBurnie fired home.
United were looking a little frustrated as the search for a winner dragged on, but Diogo Dalot finally won it with a stunning long-range strike.
Erik ten Hag backs Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund
There was no goal for Rasmus Hojlund though as his wait for a Premier League strike goes on.
The Dane had a couple of nearly moments; he almost converted Marcus Rashford’s ball across goal and drilled a shot on target in the second half.
The wait goes on though with Hojlund now passing 400 minutes without a Premier League goal and Ten Hag has moved to back his summer addition.
Ten Hag has told the United official website that Hojlund’s lack of league goals is ‘not a concern’ right now.
Ten Hag added that Hojlund is scoring enough goals for Denmark and even in the Champions League for United, so the Premier League goals will come.
The Dutchman has ‘no doubts’ about that and predicts that Hojlund’s big moment will come in the Premier League.
“It is not a concern,” said Ten Hag. “He is scoring for Denmark, he is scoring for us in the Champions League so he will score for us also in the Premier League. I have no doubts about that. Today he was two or three times in a very good spot. There will come his moment and he will finish,” he added.

Hojlund faces a big week for United
United’s attention now turns to the Champions League with a game against Copenhagen coming up on Tuesday night.
Hojlund was born in Copenhagen and came up in the club’s ranks, meaning this will be an emotional night for the striker.
There is a chance that Hojlund ends up facing his brothers Emil and Oscar too, with the duo currently around the Copenhagen senior setup.
Hojlund will then be in contention to face Manchester City next weekend, his first taste of a Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
Maybe it’s all set up for Hojlund to bag his first Premier League goal against City – and that would be well worth the wait for the 20-year-old.
