The former Ajax boss will be able to watch his new players in the flesh and see how his new club fares against Patrick Vieira’s Eagles.

United need to match or better West Ham United’s result to secure Europa League football next season. If West Ham secure three points and United fail to win, Ten Hag will be taking over a side who will be playing UEFA Conference League football next season.

Being in attendance for United’s final game of the season shows Ten Hag means business and is looking to gather as much information as possible before taking up the position as United’s fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

The Dutchman faces a huge rebuild getting Manchester United challenging fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester City for major honours.

But Ten Hag isn’t wasting any time and his sheer presence could prompt an uplift in United’s performance levels.

Ten Hag was straight down to United business as soon as he lifted his third Eredivisie title with the Amsterdam giants.
