Erik ten Hag was pleased with his side following their 1-0 win over Bournemouth, a win which all but secures a top four finish.
However despite the win, ten Hag did have one criticism for his side, insisting they must score more.
He said, “That’s one thing we have to improve, to score easily.” This comes as United again struggled to score, an issue which has plagued the side all season, reflected in the poor goal difference.
United have tended to win games based on their defence this season, reflected in David de Gea winning the golden glove.
Ten Hag is eager to bring in a new number nine, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen among those linked.

Ten Hag on Casemiro
Casemiro scored the winning goal today, and performed to a level many became accustomed to. He was voted unanimously as the player of the match on the club website.
On Casemiro’s goal ten Hag said, “Great goal from Casemiro and a great touch from Christian. The finish is brilliant, of course”

The praise for his midfield didn’t stop there as he continued to say, “The whole midfield played brilliant this afternoon.”
Casemiro was pivotal in securing the vital win as he was solid at the back too.
Ten Hag on the rest of the season
Todays win moves United just a point away from securing Champions League football for next season. A point against Chelsea on Thursday will guarantee top four with a game to spare.
On this game, ten Hag said “It’s a final, I hope the fans will be up for it.”
He added as he reached 40 wins, “It can never be good enough, we have to win to secure Champions League qualification.”
With just one point needed from two home games, it should be all wrapped up. It would be hugely shocking for this to slip from here.
