Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has detailed exactly what changed for his Red Devils side after a terrible first half against Sheffield United.
After taking the lead through Scott McTominay’s scuffed finish, Manchester United conceded barely five minutes later and wilted through a dismal first half.
The second half was much better for the Red Devils as they took the game to the Yorkshire side and eventually got the victory.
Diogo Dalot’s superb goal, and all-round good performance, gave United the win in the end.
Erik ten Hag has detailed what exactly changed from the atrocious first-half performances by the Red Devils.
The second-half domination, which saw the Reds strike the bar, Rashford scuff a shot wide and Fernandes drag his shot wide, meant United deserved the points, in the end.

Ten Hag on what changed in the second half
On an emotionally charged night due to the tragic passing of Sir Bobby Charlton, Ten Hag spoke to the United website after the win at Bramall Lane and he detailed what exactly changed after half-time.
“I think after half-time we improved we took more control and I would say that the substitutes had a big impact,” Ten Hag enthused.
Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial were introduced not too long after the half-time interval and the changes led to the sheer domination in the second half.
Barring a few speculative efforts from outside of the box, the hosts struggled to create any chances of serious note in the second half.
United’s dominance
As mentioned, the Red Devils deserved the victory but they certainly made it hard for themselves and take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City next weekend.
Ten Hag’s side will need to improve drastically if they are to defeat City, who have won the Premier League title for three seasons in a row.
The improvement may well be needed in the midfield and you would think that Mason Mount, who was dropped from the encounter in Sheffield, will start ahead of Scott McTominay, despite the Scotsman scoring against the Blades.
