Erik ten Hag has offered an injury update on his Manchester United squad after the 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory.
David de Gea and Raphael Varane started the first game of pre-season, the 4-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday.
But neither man was fit to make the squad in Australia, with Tom Heaton and Harry Maguire coming into the team instead.
After the game, Ten Hag spoke to United’s official website about the fitness of both players, and he is hopeful there is not a lot to worry about.

Ten Hag offers Manchester United injury update
“David, you saw against Liverpool, he fell out [injured],” he said.
“But he trains already and is back on the training pitch.
“So no big worry.
“Rapha is also training but, yeah, something small, and I expect him back on the training pitch.”

De Gea reclaimed his number one spot last season and the decision to loan out Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest for the season means he has further tightened his grip now.
The challenge for the Spaniard under Ten Hag will be playing further off his line, sweeping up and playing accurate passes to get United playing how the new manager wants.
Varane’s first season at United was dogged by injuries. He was impressive when he played but United were without him for too long.
On paper, there are the makings of a good left-foot, right-foot central defensive partnership with Lisandro Martinez, if he can get fit and stay fit.
