Erik ten Hag has called out a reporter in a shocking interview as the media agenda against Manchester United continues.
Manchester United have turned things around as of late with five wins in their last six games to ease the growing pressure on Erik ten Hag after a dismal month in October.
United were dismantled 3-0 at home against Newcastle United and Manchester City before a 4-3 loss to FC Copenhagen condemned the club to being on the verge of elimination from the Champions League.
The pressure was building on the former Ajax boss after the defeat in Denmark but things look to be on the up for the Red Devils.

Ten Hag calls out media
However, despite the club looking to be back on track in the league, the media are doing all they can to turn the screw on the 53-year-old Dutchman.
In an interview with TNT Sports, the interviewer said to the Dutchman: “A big week – because it’s Newcastle after – I know every week, you’ll know by now after 18 months, every week feels like a big week,” the interviewer began, “but this feels an important week for you at a point where the season can really improve or another crisis as we like to see from the outside.”
In typical Ten Hag style, the 53-year-old fired back by saying: “You like it?”
“Well… I guess, yeah,” the reporter said in response.
The Dutchman handled the question well, he said: “That’s quite honest. But we don’t care about that, it’s just about us. We started this week well so now we have to continue.”
This looks to be the latest attack on the Dutchman’s character but the former Ajax and FC Utrecht boss handled the situation well.
Ten Hag’s chance
Whether the media have been enjoying United’s struggles on and off the pitch is a question that will be asked for the rest of the season but all Ten Hag can do is keep winning games.
United have a tough run of fixtures before the end of the calendar year. If they can get to the end of 2023 still within six points of the top spot in the league then the mood will be even better.
With some injured players on their way back to the first team, the Dutchman has a chance to prove he is the right man for the United job and shut down the naysayers in the media.
