Manchester United loanee Eric Bailly’s disappointing spell out on loan at Marseille is coming to a close.
Marseille play their final match of the season next weekend away at Ajaccio, with his final home match a 2-1 loss at home to Brest.
Eric Bailly played 58 minutes of the game, hauled off after his side conceded an opener.
He appears to have since been informed he is free to leave, announcing his departure via Instagram.

Eric Bailly message
Eric Bailly has indicated his time at Marseille is over, thanking supporters as part of a goodbye message.
It wouldn’t be Eric Bailly without saying a farewell and thanks to the club’s medical staff.
He wrote: “I want to thank the supporters for their support, to the team and myself. Unfortunately we end in defeat at home. It was a wonderful season for me in Marseille, in an amazing club.
“Thanks to my teammates, technical and medical staff who took care of me and made me feel at home. Let’s go OM!”
Eric Bailly’s poor loan spell
Bailly is putting a brave face on his loan spell – but there is no getting away from the fact it has been a big disappointment.
He has failed to establish himself as a regular, only selected to start five Ligue 1 games. His start at the weekend was his first since February, and Marseille have lost them both.
The Manchester United loanee has also missed time with injury, and served a lengthy suspension for a bad tackle.
He remains under contract at Manchester United until 2024 after signing an extension under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021.
