The England youth international is a defensive midfielder who will initially go into United’s under-23 squad, but he was pictured watching Travis Binnion’s youngsters put the young Whites to the sword yesterday.

After Leeds had taken the lead in the third minute through Luca Thomas, United clicked into gear and swatted away their rivals in the roses derby.

United scored all four of their goals within a devastating 37-minute period with goals from Joe Hugill, Omari Forson and a brace from Ethan Ennis ensuring Binnion’s side took all three points.

The welcomed win came after United fought back from 4-1 down to draw 5-5 against Liverpool last time out.

Ennis now has four goals from his last two games and looks to be in the midst of a purple patch following his summer move from Liverpool.

Hugill’s strike against Leeds meant he overtook Manni Norkett (7) as the top scorer for United’s Under-18s.

The 18-year-old now has eight goals from five under-18 matches this season. He has only failed to score in one match at that level so far this season.
