Nottingham Forest were on the back foot against United inside the first five minutes after Luke Shaw fired the Red Devils into the lead in Sunday afternoon’s clash.
Luke Shaw’s early impact was the difference-maker in the first half, with United taking their 1-0 lead over Forest into the half-time break at Old Trafford.
Forest hit back against Man Utd early in the second half after a superb Anderson cross was converted from close range by Morato’s headed effort.
However, United struck back within minutes after Matheus Cunha netted against Forest, despite claims of a handball against Bryan Mbeumo in the build-up.
Bryan Mbeumo put Man Utd 3-1 up against Forest in the 75th minute before Anderson picked up a second assist after setting up Morgan Gibbs-White.
