Edinson Cavani is preparing for a big fortnight ahead as he pushes to seal World Cup qualification.
Uruguay sit fourth in the Conmebol group and know two wins in their upcoming fixtures will send them to Qatar 2022.

Uruguay host fifth placed Peru on Thursday night at 11.30pm, a pivotal fixture which feels somewhat decisive for both countries. A draw would suit Uruguay better, but Chile and Colombia are still also in the mix.
The second game Uruguay will face is away to Chile next week.
Cavani is already with Uruguay, training ahead of the game as he seeks to secure qualification. The 2022 finals will be his last World Cup, having reached the quarters in 2018 before being eliminated by eventual winners France.
It is not a surprise to see Cavani fully fit and raring to go. There was a feeling among United fans that the striker was saving himself for these fixtures.
Cavani had been battling injuries for United over the past month, featuring late as a substitute in the defeat at home to Atletico Madrid a week ago.

Cavani has not scored a goal since his last international game for Uruguay on February 1, a striker in a win over Venezuela.
Since then he has either failed to score, or simply not been fit enough to make the squad.

Cavani is joined in the squad again by Manchester United loanee Facundo Pellistri.
Pellistri starred for Uruguay in the previous round of games, providing an assist against Venezuela.

The frustrating aspect for Pellistri since then, has been a failure to kick on for loan side Alaves, with their new manager not taking a liking to him.
At the weekend be was an unused substitute for Alaves, with the loan looking like a waste of everybody’s time. He is slightly fortuitous to make Uruguay’s squad again, based on club situation, and he will have to excel again to make a good impression.
