Dylan Levitt has left Manchester United to sign with Dundee United on a permanent deal.
The Scottish club announced the move, 24 hours after newspaper The Courier first reported negotiations were at an ‘advanced stage’.
Levitt impressed on loan for Dundee United last season, voted as the fans’ player of the year, scoring six goals from midfield.
The Wales international did not figure in Erik ten Hag’s plans and he has been allowed to leave.

Dundee United sporting director Tony Ashgar told the club website: “I am extremely proud to get this deal completed. To secure Dylan on a permanent contract is a substantial coup for Dundee United and our fans will quite rightly be excited by today’s news.
“It has been a long process but throughout it, Dylan, his representatives and Manchester United have all been extremely professional.”
Levitt also expressed his own delight at the move, viewing the transfer as an important next step in his career.
He said: “I’m really proud to be back after last season. The big attraction was to come back and play games.
“After I came back from injury I feel I really hit the ground running. I want to continue that form into the new season and I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
Levitt played 25 games for Dundee United last season, helping them qualify for the Europa League. He had only played one match for Manchester United, against Astana in 2019.
The fee is described as ‘undisclosed’ with Levitt signing a contract until 2024.
His deal at Manchester United had been due to expire this summer, before the Red Devils triggered an extension option, allowing them to gain a small fee, for a player who had been in the academy for 10 years.
Levitt has 12 international caps with Wales and hopes to earn his place in the World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar later this year.
