Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot is officially the fastest right-back in the Premier League in 2022/23.
Diogo Dalot has produced the top speed of any right-back in the top flight in England so far, according to data collated by Squawka.
Dalot’s top speed has been clocked at 35.76km/h. Manchester City rival Kyle Walker is a distant fourth, with a top speed of 35.01km/h.
The fastest player this season is recorded as Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, with a speed of 36.7km/h.

Dalot battling for a right-back spot
Diogo Dalot ended 2022 as Manchester United’s undisputed first choice right-back, looking to have the position sewn up.
He also started the Carabao Cup final for the Red Devils, although was substituted off for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at half-time.
This has encapsulated his season, with Wan-Bissaka coming back stronger in the second half of the season.
Wan-Bissaka started the FA Cup quarter-final, and appears to have won his place back from Dalot.
Both players will be needed at the end of the season, with nine games in the month of April alone, across three competitions.
What happens beyond this season is unclear, whether United stick with the pair, or introduce new competition.
Each of them will need to finish this campaign strongly, while speedy Dalot has just one year remaining on his current contract.
