Manchester United number 30 Benjamin Sesko has enjoyed a very strong start to life in the famous red shirt, with Dimitar Berbatov impressed.

Despite arriving as a young forward with lots to learn, Manchester United are already seeing exactly why Benjamin Sesko was so highly sought after.

Signing Sesko had left fans worries back in August. But after 10 games this season, Sesko is clearly the best striker United could have signed, much better than Viktor Gyokeres.

Dimitar Berbatov shares verdict on Benjamin Sesko

Sesko has been gradually improving, offering a lot in his all-round game alongside goal contributions.

Now, speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents YouTube channel, Dimitar Berbatov has offered advice to Sesko on how things can get even better.

Ferdinand asked Berbatov what he would say to Sesko if he had time for a conversation.

“First and foremost, know your teammates”, Berbatov explained. “Speak with them, if you see that it is not working out quick enough or soon enough as you like, speak with them.

“On the pitch, because he is a big, strong lad. He can run, he can cover the space, he can hold the ball.

“The goals that I saw him score in his previous club was unbelievable, left, right, shooting. So I think he has the quality, I am cautiously optimistic. I don’t jump up and down, because Hojlund was the same.”

Sesko’s advice from Berbatov is clearly already being followed. As after the Brighton game, Cunha shared a glimpse of his relationship with Sesko.

Benjamin Sesko has even shown shades of Dimitar Berbatov

Standing at 6ft 5in, Sesko is a massive number nine which has really benefitted United this season with the ability to play direct, while he has also shown surprising quality on the ground.

Sesko’s link-up play has been excellent, picking up the ball almost in the number 10 position, redistributing the ball to one of his teammates.

This silky link-up for a big man is similar to Berbatov, not quite as skilful and elegant, however, still in the same shade as the Bulgarian.

Berbatov was a superstar for United and Sesko having these moments of creativity as a number nine is a positive.
