Manchester United’s Carabao Cup celebrations are set to be short-lived with a FA Cup match to prepare for on Wednesday night.
Erik ten Hag‘s side host West Ham in the fifth round at Old Trafford, looking to keep a strong run going.
One of the West Ham players expected to feature in midweek is Declan Rice, and he reached out to one of Manchester United’s stars after Sunday’s win at Wembley.
Rice was keen to congratulate Luke Shaw following the victory. He responded to Shaw’s post on Instagram.

In addition to a response from Manchester United teammate Lisandro Martinez, former United star John O’Shea also reached out.
O’Shea wrote: “Love that Luke. First of many 🔥”

Important victory for Luke Shaw
This was the first final at Manchester United which Luke Shaw had played in and won. He was not a starter in trophy wins in 2016 or 2017.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Almost a full decade since he joined in 2014, this has been worth the wait for Shaw.
The defender played a critical role in the victory, providing the assist for Casemiro’s headed opener.
This was Shaw’s fifth assist of the season and second in the last five games. He is an excellent crosser of the ball, and he put in one of his best deliveries of the campaign when it mattered most.
Shaw is used to playing at Wembley with England and he was one of United’s best players on Sunday. Now he has had a taste of it, he will be keen to get back for more.
The next step in this begins this week against Declan Rice’s West Ham.
