David Moyes has given his thoughts on Erik ten Hag’s current predicament at Manchester United after what has been a tough season.
Manchester United picked up a vital 4-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux and this is despite being pegged back to 3-3 in the 96th minute of the game.
A stunning solo goal from Kobbie Mainoo, assisted by another academy graduate Omari Forson, won the game for United and spared the blushes of the defenders, in particular, who defended Pedro Neto’s equaliser rather poorly.
Next up for United and Erik ten Hag is David Moyes’ West Ham United, who famously managed the Red Devils for just nine months following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

Moyes on Ten Hag
Speaking to the West Ham website, as well as to national journalists, the Scotsman was asked for his thoughts on the Dutchman’s situation at the club following what has been an inconsistent season.
“We played very well against Manchester United when we played them at London Stadium. We’re now going to Old Trafford, which has always been a notoriously hard place to get results. We’ll go there and try to put on a good performance.
“Erik Ten Hag is in a privileged position to be manager of Manchester United. I think he understands and respects that.
“I think he is trying to enforce how he wants the team to play and work, and you have to give him credit for that. When you’re in that job, you are under a lot of pressure. You are expected to win and you are expected to perform well. He understands that.”
Ten Hag’s future
If United can keep pulling off results like they did at Molineux then the Dutchman will remain in a job but the performances, particularly in the final 30 minutes, have to be better.
The Red Devils should have been out of sight and will have to take their chances against a dangerous West Ham side on the weekend if they are to make it back-to-back wins this weekend.
United lost 2-0 to Moyes’ side at the London Stadium in December and will be hoping to avoid a repeat of this.
