David De Gea tops the charts for the entirety of the Premier League for one of the worst possible statistics.
The Spaniard had an absolute howler in United’s 1-0 loss to West Ham in the Premier League. Said Benrahma’s tame first-half effort trickled past the 32-year-old, leaving United fans in complete shock.
This certainly isn’t the first time the United veteran has made a horrendous mistake. Unfortunately, we also don’t think it’ll be the last.
David De Gea now tops the charts for a statistic that certainly isn’t a privilege to be first in.

De Gea has the most errors leading to goals across all competitions over anyone in the Premier League
This awful statistic certainly doesn’t paint David De Gea in the best light.
This statistic simply isn’t good enough for a Manchester United keeper.
De Gea’s blunders have already had harsh implications this season. His performance against Sevilla in the second leg of the Europa League clash ultimately saw United bow out of the competition.
Now with the loss at the London Stadium, it’s not even a certainty that United will be playing Champions League football next season.
It’s hard to slate De Gea. He’s been a fantastic servant for the club and clearly loves United, however – his incompetence is costing Erik ten Hag‘s side too much as of late.
There are potential successors out there who could take the 32-year-old’s spot. David Raya of Brentford has proven he’s a phenomenal Premier League keeper.
Elsewhere, Mike Maignan of AC Milan has been nothing short of sensational since his arrival at the Italian club. Either of these would be undeniable upgrades.
The gaffer will ultimately have the decision as to whether Dave will start between the sticks as the number one next season. Whatever happens, De Gea will always be a legend at Old Trafford.
