Manchester United legend David Beckham has urged Red Devils supporters to bring back an iconic chant that he “never” seems to hear during matches at Old Trafford.
David Beckham burst onto the scene at Manchester United and the 49-year-old Inter Miami president enjoyed incredible success at Old Trafford.
One of the famed ‘Class of ‘92’ members, the United legend lifted six Premier League titles, a Champions League and two FA Cups under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Beckham was a linchpin figure in Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary teams of the past and the former United star was a key part of the club’s famous treble-winning team.
The ex-England captain made 390 appearances for the Red Devils and scored 85 times for United, with Beckham picking up an impressive 121 assists.
Beckham’s spell at United came to an end in 2003 after his relationship with Ferguson fractured and the former Three Lions star was sold to Real Madrid.

Beckham names three Man Utd legends
David Beckham went on to play for Real Madrid and lifted a La Liga title before his departure to MLS outfit LA Galaxy in 2007.
The former Madrid and Manchester United winger had loan spells with AC Milan during his time at LA Galaxy before ending his career at Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking on the YouTube channel First We Feast, Beckham said that he can still hear songs about United legends Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson and Roy Keane.
However, the former England international admired that he misses hearing his own iconic song at matches and he is keen for United fans to sing it again.
“The fans sing a lot about older players and players from the past, but I never seem to hear it as much,” Beckham said.
“Maybe because I don’t go to many games, but even on the telly I hear songs about Eric Cantona and Bryan Robson and Roy Keane from Manchester United fans, but I very rarely hear, ‘There’s only one David Beckham.’
“That was only really the only chant that I wanted to hear and I’d like to hear it again, if any United fans are watching, please! Just from time to time.
“I’m still a United fan. Every now and again, ‘There’s only one David Beckham.’”
Cantona on Man Utd fans singing
Red Devils legend Eric Cantona previously echoed his concerns that he is “afraid” United fans could one day stop chanting his name.
“I feel proud, I feel great and I feel a bit afraid that they will stop – because they will stop one day,” he told the UTD Podcast in 2020.
“The meaning of Manchester United is winning. Winning with enjoyment. It’s what all fans of Manchester United expect. Not only winning, [but] winning with enjoyment.
“Like for 25 years with Alex Ferguson, or before with Matt Busby. That’s Manchester United, it’s why we all love Manchester United.
“What I love about Alex Ferguson is every time there was a new goal, a new challenge. Even if we were 10 points in front and we have already won the league, we would always try to find a new challenge, new records.
“He is one of the few people I have met who has had a lot of influence on me. It’s like in everything, the people we meet make us.”
