There was a familiar face breaking the deadlock when Manchester United hosted Brighton, with Danny Welbeck opening the scoring.
The way Manchester United’s season has been going, it actually was not a surprise to see Danny Welbeck score first on Saturday.
The former Red Devils’ academy prospect scored his first goal in four matches this season to set Brighton on the way to a 3-1 victory, with Hannibal Mejbri netting a consolation for the hosts.
This was a fourth successive Premier League loss to Brighton, with United’s FA Cup semi-final victory on penalties small consolation in between, going on to lose the final.
