Danny Welbeck has praised Manchester United ahead of this week’s Premier League showdown with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is one of the senior stars in Brighton’s talented squad.
The Seagulls host United this Thursday night, keen for revenge after their FA Cup semi-final defeat.
They beat Wolves 6-0 at the weekend and are pushing to secure a European place.
It won’t be an easy game at all for United, having lost 4-0 away at Brighton last season. Their extra motivation further complicates a match already rendered difficult in light of the Red Devils’ troublesome away record this season in the Premier League.

Danny Welbeck praises Manchester United
Brighton star Danny Welbeck has concerns about facing Manchester United, recognising his side are in for a very tough game.
The Carrington graduate told Brighton’s website: “I am looking forward to Thursday. They have got some amazing players, so you’ve got to be ready at all times when you play them.
“We will prepare the same way and we’ll try and put things right in front of our fans.”
He had admitted it was not easy for his side after their defeat to United last month; they lost the subsequent game against Nottingham Forest, before getting back on track at the weekend.
Welbeck said: “There was a little bit of a hangover last midweek against Forest. So, it was important that we got the right result on Saturday and set us up for the rest of the season.”
This fixture was originally scheduled for April and has since been re-arranged.
United are hoping to have Alejandro Garnacho available after he returned to training at the weekend.
Thursday night’s match is one of two away games for United this week, with a trip to West Ham to follow on Sunday afternoon.
