Manchester United resume their domestic season tonight when Burnley come to Old Trafford for a Carabao Cup fourth-round tie.
Following a seven-year stay in the Premier League, the Clarets were relegated last season, but with former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany at the helm, the Clarets sit top of the Championship.
The Red Devils last two goals against the Turf Moor outfit came from players who are no longer at the club – Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup clash at the Theatre of Dreams, United in Focus has picked out the four current Manchester United players who have scored against Burnley.
Manchester United players who have scored against Burnley
Anthony Martial
Burnley must have been sick of the sight of United’s number nine as the 27-year-old scored in three consecutive matches against the Clarets across 2017 to 2020.
All three of the Frenchman’s goals against Burnley have come at Turf Moor and he’ll be hoping to open his account against the Lancashire-based side at Old Trafford.
Victor Lindelof

In January 2019, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Reds were trailing Sean Dyche’s Burnley 2-0 at Old Trafford with just minutes remaining.
Pogba halved United’s deficit from the spot in the 87th minute before Lindelof scored his first goal for the twenty-time league champions.
The £31m signing from Benfica managed to get the ball over the line after Tom Heaton had saved Alexis Sanchez’ initial header.
With Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez going toe-to-toe in the World Cup final, Sweden’s national team captain will likely partner Harry Maguire in the heart of United’s defence against Burnley.
Marcus Rashford
It would be a surprise to see Rashford start against Burnley given his exploits at the World Cup, but he could well be an option off the bench for Erik ten Hag.
United’s number ten is yet to taste defeat against the Clarets, but he does only have one goal in ten appearances against the Championship leaders.
With Dyche’s Burnley chasing an equaliser at Turf Moor in December 2019 following Martial’s opener, Rashford sealed the points by bundling the ball over the line in the dying seconds.
Scott McTominay
United’s number 39 opened the scoring against Burnley at Old Trafford last December when Ralf Rangnick was in interim charge.
The Scotsman broke the deadlock with a neat finish following a Ronaldo assist.
McTominay came close to scoring a second, but his effort from outside the box came back off the post and Ronaldo had a simple tap in.
The academy graduate looks nailed on to form part of Ten Hag’s starting line-up against the Clarets with Fred, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes yet to return to Carrington.
