In less than a days time, a new era begins at Manchester United – with Andre Onana set to be announced as the new goalkeeper by the club.

Onana emerged pretty quickly as Erik ten Hag‘s number-one target for between the sticks after David De Gea parted with the club.

Eventually, the two clubs came to an agreement and now Onana has flown to England to make the deal official.

A new era begins at Manchester United

After twelve years with De Gea between the sticks, United will now finally see a new shot-stopper in goal at Old Trafford.

It really does mark the start of a new era, with a new style of football. So much was scrutinized about the ability of the Spaniard with his feet. This meant that United were really lagging behind the times of modern-day football.

Onana has bags of footballing ability, as well as being a phenomenal goalkeeper. This could redefine the way United play entirely.

This summer has gone swimmingly so fat. Let’s hope more are on the way!
