David de Gea, Tyrell Malacia, who makes his first start, and Marcus Rashford come into the side in place of Tom Heaton, Luke Shaw and Anthony Elanga.

James Garner and Raphael Varane both miss out.

Ten Hag will be hoping to make it three wins out of three on Tour 22 before facing Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa in Perth on Saturday.

Ralf Rangnick’s first and last match in interim charge of Manchester United came against Crystal Palace.

The Reds beat the Selhurst Park side 1-0 at Old Trafford in December thanks to a long-range strike from Fred.

But with last season’s miserable season finally coming to a close, Palace beat United 1-0 in the reverse fixture, on the final day of the campaign with Wilfried Zaha proving to be the matchwinner.

Palace will be missing several of their key players for today’s clash against United as they did against Liverpool.

Former Red Zaha, Marc Guehi, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze are among those to have remained in south London, with the club explaining that some of their star names were unfit while others had “not met the entry requirements for Singapore or Australia when travel arrangements were made”.
