Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland on Saturday afternoon was an outing to forget, and it might have just got worse for Michael Carrick.
Michael Carrick’s side are one point from securing a return to the Champions League after Manchester United’s draw with Sunderland, with two games left to play.
It was a performance Carrick will want to move on from, though, with his team having one shot on target in the worst display under his management.
This coincided with United rotating the team to make five changes to the starting line-up. Of the six usual starters who played, now one has been spotted limping after the game.
Who was Manchester United’s man of the match vs Sunderland?
A first 0-0 of the season, but did anyone stand out for Michael Carrick's side?

Luke Shaw spotted limping after Manchester United vs Sunderland
The performance at the Stadium of Light was so disappointing, with United’s players underperforming, not showing the levels they did before securing a return to Champions League football.
United had several players missing against Sunderland, which contributed to this performance; now Luke Shaw could join the absentee list.
This is because Shaw was spotted after the game, departing the Sunderland ground, limping heavily as he and Bryan Mbeumo walked out together.
This was captured by a United fan, ImogenMUFC on Instagram, who put the video on their page, writing, “Looks like Luke Shaw has taken a knock!”
This limp is likely as a result of Shaw’s heavy blow taken during the game, as he was caught by Granit Xhaka on the shin.
It looked painful, and Shaw’s face suggested it was, and he limped away after getting back to his feet. Clearly, he is still feeling it.
What is your MESSAGE to Michael Carrick after Man Utd’s draw with Sunderland?
Manchester United should try Patrick Dorgu at left-back against Nottingham Forest
The fact that this seems to be an impact injury for Shaw tells us that he should actually be okay, besides some bruising and pain.
However, United are already in the Champions League and are two points from securing third place ahead of Liverpool and Aston Villa.
So Shaw shouldn’t be risked if it will potentially have a negative impact on him next season, or potentially even with the outside chances of getting into the England squad.
Patrick Dorgu should therefore start.
Dorgu was signed to be Shaw’s successor, and has never gotten that chance to play left-back. This summer, United are looking at left-backs, but if Dorgu can take that position and make it his own, then it wouldn’t be necessary.
Shaw will want to play and complete a season of starts, but there would be no shame in being rested with a nasty knock to recover from for a tough trip to Brighton as the final game.
