Manchester United are back to winning ways, with a 1-0 win against Vincent Kompany’s side at Turf Moor.
The game was a much-needed boost for fans, players and pretty much everyone associated with the club. Erik ten Hag will be delighted with the performance, which was a lot better than what we’ve seen thus far in the Premier League this season.
A lot of individuals shone. Hannibal Mejbri was brilliant, Jonny Evans was instrumental and, most of all, the captain was on top of his game – Bruno Fernandes.
His goal was enough to secure all three points, but it also drew a rather strange comparison to a ‘ghost’ from Guy Mowbray – but in a good way.

Commentating on Match of the Day, Guy Mowbray made a strange comparison of Fernandes and a ghost after his goal went in against Burnley.
“At times, his movement is like a ghost the Manchester United captain. Unseen.”
Bruno is usually criticised for ‘ghosting’ in big games, but this certainly wasn’t the comparison being drawn here from the commentator.
We can’t disagree, Bruno’s superb run completely evaded all Burnley defenders and he dispatched absolutely beautifully.
Is Bruno on the right the answer?
It’s no secret that United have had trouble with the right-wing slot this season, but Bruno had an excellent game there yesterday.
However, he’s probably not the answer and here’s why. He is far too influential in the middle to put out there.
Bruno operates best when the game flows through him, and often on the wing he can become a little isolated.
United need to sort out this right-wing malarky fast. It’s becoming a really unnecessary issue considering the amount of money that’s been thrown at it.
