Christian Eriksen has opened up about his Manchester United frustration as the club’s struggles this season have continued.

Despite Manchester United winning their most recent game against Fulham, they have struggled to put together a consistent run of form.

The Champions League group is on a knife edge with United winning just one game out of the three that they have played in Europe.

Erik ten Hag will be well aware of the state of play, the Red Devils essentially need to win their next two group games and avoid defeat against the German champions and then they will be going into the knockout stages in February.

Eriksen’s concern

Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of the must-win game in Denmark, Christian Eriksen was frustrated with the team’s inconsistency.

“It’s been like this this season,” Eriksen said when asked about the change in the team’s atmosphere after their late win at Fulham.

“Every time we’ve won we’ve been on a high and then we lose again and we feel down again, and then up again.

“Obviously, we do everything we can to keep it on a high, keep winning games and then obviously that boosts our confidence and we need to keep that, instead of going up and down all the time because it’s frustrating.”

United’s inconsistency

It could be argued that since United won their first trophy in six years, the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United, their form has been very up and down.

United made it to the FA Cup final but lost 7-0 to Liverpool in the Premier League, the end of the season was very up and down. This season has been a terrible start, all things considered.

They have not put a consistent run of form together yet. Every time the Red Devils seem to turn a corner, they end up getting roundly beaten in the next game, the Manchester derby is a good example of this.

Eriksen and his United teammates will need to be on top form in a hostile atmosphere like Parken in Copenhagen.
