Christian Eriksen and David de Gea have sent messages to Alejandro Garnacho after he posted an injury update on Instagram.
Garnacho was forced off in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Southampton after a heavy challenge from England international Kyle Walker-Peters.
The winger took to Instagram to confirm he will miss the forthcoming international break, where he would have had the chance to link up with Argentina.
Garnacho will miss at least the forthcoming games with Real Betis in the Europa League and Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
United’s official update says Garnacho will miss ‘a number of weeks’ with the full timescale uncertain.

Christian Eriksen sends message to Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho’s message read: “It is difficult to put into words how I’m feeling right now. Unfortunately I will not be able to help my team and team mates in the upcoming games in what is a very important part of the season for us at Manchester United.
“I am disappointed to also miss the opportunity to be with my team mates of the Argentinian National Team in what would have been a great and proud moment for me and my family.
“This is part of football and our profession, however, I am already focused in my recovery. God has taught me to never give up and I will make sure I am back stronger than ever!”
Eriksen is of course himself embarking on an injury comeback and wasted no time showing his support, along with goalkeeper De Gea.

Garnacho’s speed and directness has been a huge boost to United in recent weeks and arguably his best moment in a red shirt came last time we played Fulham.
He got a stoppage time winner the last time we faced the Cottagers, in the final Premier League match before the mid-season World Cup.
His absence could hand an opportunity to Facundo Pellistri to move up the pecking order, after some impressive cameos off the bench.
Anthony Elanga may also benefit, but Garnacho’s injury is a real blow and it is to be hoped that he is back soon after the international break.
