Former Tottenham and Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has only been at Manchester United for a matter of months.
And yet already, he has picked out one of his Manchester United teammates as the best midfielder he has ever played with.
Speaking to the club website in a Q&A, Eriksen was asked to select his best midfield teammate, and the only name he was able to come up with was Casemiro.
Eriksen hails Casemiro
Eriksen responded: “Best with? I don’t know, it’s very different, every player has a different style, everyone has different abilities. At United, I would probably have to say Casemiro.
“He’s won about 20 Champions Leagues already, so it should be him!”

Eriksen has only played a handful of games alongside Casemiro, but he can clearly already appreciate the quality the Brazilian possesses.
Casemiro’s defensive ability makes Eriksen’s task easier and the pair mesh well together. Their partnership is at a very early phase, just scratching the surface of its potential.
Eriksen may have diverted the question to focus it just on United, but he didn’t have to. He could have named any of his past teammates – instead choosing to pick out Casemiro.
The Dane exaggerated a little referring to Casemiro’s Champions League titles. He has won five – which is five more than Eriksen has managed. He did win a runners-up medal with Tottenham in 2018.
Their task for now is to qualify for next season’s Champions League with Manchester United, and together the pair can take a crack at winning it in 2023/24. Together they have the ability – United just need to get the rest of the team to an equal strength.
