Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has sent an emotional message to Real Madrid fans on social media amid his move to Manchester United.
The 30-year-old midfield enforcer looks set to become Erik ten Hag’s fourth Manchester United signing.
Following a summer-long pursuit of trying to reunite with Netherlands international Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, Ten Hag’s Red Devils have raided Los Blancos.

In a dream scenario, United go and pull off the deal to sign De Jong and have both the former Ajax midfielder and Casemiro as our new two-man midfield partnership.
Casemiro sends message to Real Madrid fans amid Manchester United move

Having moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Sau Paulo in 2013, Casemiro went on to win 18 trophies with the Spanish giants, including five Champions Leagues.
Ahead of his move to Manchester United, the 63-time Brazil international has sent an emotional message to the Madrid fans via Twitter.
The post translates: “I have lived the most wonderful story that I ever thought.
“I hope to return one day to what will always be my home.
“Not in a thousand lifetimes will I be able to give back to Real Madrid all that you have given me. Forever… Hala Madrid.”
Casemiro will reunite with former Real Madrid teammates Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo at the Theatre of Dreams, as well as fellow Brazil international Fred.
Manchester United have been crying out for a world-class defensive midfielder for years, and in Casemiro we are landing a serial winner who remains at the peak of his powers.
Despite our turbulent start to the new campaign and how far off we’re challenging our great rivals Manchester City and Liverpool – Casemiro is up for the challenge.
