Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has praised the coaching staff for his goalscoring form this season.
Casemiro has been out of the team due to an injury picked up playing for Brazil, which also coincided with his form dropping off.
Despite this, Casemiro is Manchester United’s top goalscorer, which is a sad indictment of Manchester United’s struggles to score goals in general.
As he works back to full fitness, Casemiro has spoken to the United website about his form and has praised one aspect of the team in particular.

Casemiro gives goalscoring credit
“There’s no doubt that this is something we’ve been working on a lot,” said the 31-year-old.
“Eric Ramsay [first-team coach] works hard on dead-ball situations, and he’s at the club for this very reason.
“He deserves credit for the work he’s done, indicating to us where we can hurt them the most. I think that the coaching staff have played a big role in this regard.”
It’s a change of tact for the coaching staff to be praised this season, particularly when there hasn’t been a lot to shout about for the Red Devils so far this season. United’s set pieces have also been criticised in the past.
The midfielder has received flak for his performances this season due to his previous high standards but in his absence, the Red Devils haven’t looked any better defensively.
Casemiro looking to re-ignite season
It was last season that the addition of the Brazilian midfielder from Real Madrid for £60 million turned the tide in Ten Hag’s favour.
12 months on, the experienced midfielder may well be the key to kicking off another new season and reinvigorating a squad who are in desperate need of improvement. This is a chance for him to show his leadership.
Raphael Varane praised the balance Casemiro brings to the team and it is that balance that could be needed for the Red Devils tonight.
