Casemiro once scored an incredible long range free-kick Cristiano Ronaldo would have been proud of

Manchester United have agreed to sign Brazilian midfielder Casemiro and he is expected to play a major role for the club in the years ahead.

Casemiro is seen as the team’s new defensive shield, a midfield destroyer, who will enable the rest of the team to tick.

He has got a bit more in his locker too. He once scored this incredible long range free-kick in action for Porto in the Champions League in 2015.

Casemiro’s goal came in the Champions League last 16 as Porto beat Basel 4-0. He was on loan to the Portuguese side, and a young Ruben Neves came off the bench in the same match.

The Brazilian was on a year long loan at the Portuguese club, before returning to play a major role at Real Madrid.

Back at Real, he rarely got a chance on free-kicks, with Cristiano Ronaldo taking centre stage. But when you can strike a ball like this, its wasteful not to do it more often.

Let us hope Manchester United get to see him score a goal like this at least once.
