Bryan Mbeumo was Manchester United’s star player on Saturday when he scored a brace in a hard-fought 4-2 win over Brighton.

It has been an impressive start for Bryan Mbeumo at Manchester United, scoring five goals in his first 10 games for the club.

Mbeumo scored the third and fourth goals in the second half to complete United’s 4-2 win against Brighton.

The Cameroon international picks up the Premier League Player of the Week award after causing havoc for Brighton throughout the game.

Mbeumo came close to assisting both Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko in the first half, while he tricked Carlos Baleba into earning a yellow card for a foul.

The Old Trafford faithful enjoyed his nutmeg on Yasin Ayari before the stadium erupted again for his brace.

Previous Player of the Week winners 2025/26

Harry Maguire became Amroim’s first player to win the award this season after his match-winning goal in United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool.

The fact that a United player has won the award for the past two weeks bodes well for Ruben Amorim.

It suggests that United’s players are showing significant improvements since the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign.

Mbeumo will be a contender for the Premier League Player of the Month award.
