Manchester United summer signing Bryan Mbeumo is on the same wavelength as one of Ruben Amorim’s key first-team players over one all-important approach to football.
Bryan Mbeumo has already impressed in the early part of his Manchester United playing career after the 26-year-old winger arrived at Old Trafford in the summer.
The French-born attacker has featured in all four matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign so far, with Cameroon star Mbeumo netting twice for United.
Mbeumo has started all three of the Red Devils’ Premier League matches and the ex-Brentford ace came off the bench and scored in United’s loss to Grimsby Town.
The Cameroon international was a key target for the Red Devils in the summer window and United landed Mbeumo from Brentford after their third bid was accepted.

Bryan Mbeumo sat down with Inside United for an interview and the Cameroon international opened up about his life at Old Trafford after his summer move.
Harry Robinson highlighted for Manchester United’s official website his experience with Mbeumo and noticed a major detail from the former Brentford star.
He revealed in his United editorial piece that Mbeumo had opened up about his playing style, including his approach to “taking on a player” when he is on the pitch.
According to Harry Robinson, the ex-Troyes star is “watching” what his opponents do on the pitch and is focusing on their “balance” and their “body shape and eyes.”
He added that Mbeumo’s two aforementioned approaches help him deliver on his third factor, which is “calculating” the “best method past” for him to beat a player.
Robinson noticed that what Mbeumo had mentioned showed shades of what United captain Bruno Fernandes had said in the past about taking on a player directly.
“His captain, Bruno Fernandes, tried to explain it to IU [Inside United magazine] in a previous season,” he said.

United dropped a hefty initial fee of £65m to land Mbeumo from Brentford, with the transfer package reaching £71m thanks to the £6m add-ons agreed in the deal.
Mbeumo admitted that it took him some time to adapt to life at Old Trafford after his blockbuster move in July, with the Red Devils proving to be a “big club” in his eyes.
“It’s been tough,” he told Manchester United’s official club media.
“I was expecting a lot from here because it’s a big club. It’s a big everything.
“I’m really happy with what happened to me here, the teammates, the staff, everyone in Carrington are [all] lovely people.
“You really want to come in and work here every day, which is really good. When I first arrive somewhere, I don’t really know, I don’t like to be loud or show myself a lot.”
The first Manchester derby between United and Manchester City will be coming up on Sunday, with the Premier League tie slated for a 4:30pm UK kick-off time.
