Manchester United’s new signings had mixed fortunes in the 3-2 victory over Burnley.

Over the summer Manchester United invested heavily to sign Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

Mbeumo and Cunha have started all three league games so far, while Sesko is being eased in from the bench after missing pre-season.

The 3-2 win over Burnley won’t be remembered fondly by Cunha, after he went off with an injury in the 27th minute.

It was a happier experience for Mbeumo, who scored his first league goal for United, while Sesko was a second half substitute and looked threatening in the air.

Mbeumo message

Following Manchester United’s win, both Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko sent positive messages to supporters.

Mbeumo’s message showed that he had enjoyed his first full-on Manchester United experience, embracing the late drama.

He wrote on Instagram: “Really important one, we take the 3pts with this late drama 😍 thanks for the fans, it was a crazy atmosphere 🤯😍”.

Mbeumo’s message was ‘liked’ by teammates Matthijs de Ligt, Diogo Dalot, Amad, Bruno Fernandes and Leny Yoro among others.

Sesko message

Benjamin Sesko is still looking to score his first Manchester United goal, but the 22-year-old striker is staying positive.

Sharing a picture of his impressive leap for a header which went narrowly over the bar, Sesko expressed gratitude for the support.

He wrote: “First win, big boost and great support from our fans! We’ll build on this, thanks Old Trafford! ❤️👊🏼”.

This was Manchester United’s first win of the season, and while it was not pretty, it’s hard to argue Ruben Amorim’s side were not due a victory.

United dominated large spells of the game against Arsenal and Fulham and had only one point to show for it.

They were also the better team against Burnley, but made hard work of it by conceding soft goals to let the Clarets back into the game, before Bruno Fernandes‘ late penalty.
