Bruno Fernandes has taken to Instagram to shown the happy mood at Carrington as Manchester United gear up to face Bournemouth.

United’s stand in captain has posted on Instagram to show the current mood in the camp. He wrote: “Good week of training – ready for what’s ahead.”

This demonstrates how the players are feeling upbeat and optimistic following last week’s dominant 2-0 win over Wolves, heading into the weekend.

It seemed that smiles were all around Carrington as the Red Devils prepared for their south coast trip. A game in which a win could indicate a huge step toward securing Champions League football for United.

Three points on Saturday means Erik ten Hag‘s men will only require a further three points to guarantee top four. With two home games to cap of the season against Chelsea and Fulham, a win here would be a huge indicator.

United’s biggest top four threat comes from Newcastle and Liverpool. Newcastle took a big step themselves to qualifying with their huge 4-1 win against Brighton last night. Liverpool meanwhile must win all their remaining games to have a chance of qualifying.

Dropping points against Aston Villa could signal the end of their Champions League hunt.

An important few weeks

Good squad atmosphere will be important as United enter the final two weeks of the season. Three Premier League games to secure the pivotal Champions League qualification. Followed by the FA Cup Final against Manchester City, with the chance to deny them a treble.

Six points are needed from the nine available, assuming Liverpool don’t drop points. If ten Hag’s side can win their next two, they could have their position wrapped up prior the seasons finale against Fulham a week on Sunday.

After this, United have a Wembley date with destiny to deny City from matching the treble feat. An accomplishment only achieved once before by an English side, back in 1999.

Therefore to see a confident and happy Ferandes and co in training, bodes well for the huge two weeks ahead. A season defining two weeks with silverware and top four on the line. Additionally a domestic double to claim, it is an exciting time in the season for United.
