Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has set a new record with his performances for the 2022/23 season.
According to data from Opta, Bruno Fernandes has created the most chances of any Manchester United player in a single season since they began collecting data in 2003/04.
Fernandes has created 119 chances this season, the most in the Premier League.
He was still short of the Premier League season record set by Mesut Ozil for Arsenal in 2015/16, with 146 chances created.

Bruno Fernandes impresses again
Bruno Fernandes has had a remarkable campaign in which he started 37 of a possible 38 Premier League matches.
The one game he missed was away to Aston Villa, due to suspension, and United lost 3-1.
He currently sits on 13 goals and 16 assists for the campaign and could yet add to these figures in the FA Cup final.
MORE UNITED STORIES
His creativity has been excellent. His figure of 119 chances created is for the Premier League only, and has only translated into eight assists in the competition.
These figures highlight how desperately Manchester United need to sign a top striker this summer.
Add in a Harry Kane, for instance, who has struck 30 league goals in an average Spurs side, and Fernandes’ assist figures could skyrocket.
Ten Hag says investment needed
Erik ten Hag will want Fernandes to kick on, but he knows the club will have to give him the tools to do so.
The manager told The Athletic after the win over Fulham that he felt their success was despite a lack of investment in January.
He said: “The club knows if you want to play top four, compete for trophies in this tough league then you have to invest otherwise you don’t have a chance because other clubs will do.
“We’ve seen it in the winter, all the clubs around us made huge investments, we didn’t, but still we made it, so I’m proud of my team.”
