Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes was the focus of media attention ahead of the win over Tottenham.
While he was not being criticised, he was being asked when he was going to start scoring regularly again, like he did when he joined the club.
Prior to last night Fernandes had scored only one goal this season, and said he was confident he would soon be back making a goalscoring impact.
He did exactly that against Tottenham last night, netting his first Manchester United goal since August in the victory over Spurs.
Fernandes also had a goal disallowed as United ran riot, with the attacking midfielder creating nine chances in the victory.

Fernandes was deluged with responses from his Manchester United teammates who hailed his display.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Casemiro were among the Red Devils players to respond to the midfielder’s message.

Erik ten Hag spoke after the game and expressed his delight at seeing Fernandes get onto the scoresheet.
He told the club website: “Bruno scored, eh? I know it will come with him.
“Sometimes, you have appearances where you don’t score but, all of a sudden, you’ve found the back of the net. I think, for Bruno, it is important that he scored a goal but he played a magnificent game today.”
