Bruno Fernandes has been speaking about Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and how he has been impressed by him.
While the Red Devils have struggled to compete for major honours since Sir Alex Ferguson retired nine years ago, arch rivals Manchester City and Liverpool have benefited from having arguably the two best managers in football in their dugouts.
Guardiola has won 11 trophies, including four Premier League titles, since being appointed as City boss in the summer of 2016, while Klopp has won seven trophies since moving to Anfield in October 2015.

Ten Hag is the fifth permanent manager the Reds have appointed since the legendary Scot called time on his glittering managerial career.
Unlike United’s previous four permanent managers, the Dutchman will be looking to break City and Liverpool’s stranglehold at the top of English football.
Bruno Fernandes explains why he thinks Erik ten Hag is similar to Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp
For the first time since Sir Alex retired, the appointment of Ten Hag is arguably the first manager United have hired who is on an upward trajectory and arrives at Old Trafford fresh after winning trophies.
Since arriving at the twenty-time league champions, the 52-year-old has instilled discipline, a footballing philosophy and he has signed the players that he wanted to form part of his Manchester United rebuild.
Ten Hag’s control and influence on the football operations at the Theatre of Dreams has seen the former Ajax manager be compared to Guardiola and Klopp by Fernandes, who has been captaining the side with Harry Maguire on the bench.

Speaking in an interview with The Athletic, United’s number eight said on his boss: “First of all, he has an idea. He has a style. You have to follow his rules. He is strict on that. And I like that. He has brought discipline, which is something I think we missed in the past. Everyone must be on the same page.
“That is what Pep (Guardiola) and (Jurgen) Klopp have been doing for years, because they have stability in the club and in the way they choose the transfer market and build the team, which is really important for them to get the rewards.
“I saw the manager say in a press conference that we do not want to bring players just for the sake of it, we want to bring the right players for what we want to do. It is something the club needs.
“[We] signed players with big qualities and big names. Now it is about us doing our job on the pitch.
“We still have a margin to improve and he needs time to get the most out of us with his idea of playing. I believe we will get to the point with him where we are established as a team and everyone is on the same page.”
Having started the season with back-to-back chastening defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, the Red Devils have won four consecutive Premier League games and the Ten Hag reign is building momentum.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that Ten Hag can bring Guardiola and Klopp’s era of dominance to an end and build his very own dynasty, but that will take time and patience, but the early signs are encouraging.
Ten Hag has already beaten Klopp’s Liverpool this season and he’ll be hoping to oust Guardiola when Manchester United travel to the Etihad Stadium on 2 October.
