France international Varane was proud of the shutout, and the way United are establishing Old Trafford as a ground where opponents can no longer win.
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, the club captain in Harry Maguire’s absence, sent a response to Varane praising his dominant display.
Varane completed 91 per cent of his passes, and even created two goalscoring chances.
He made five clearances, won 100 per cent of his aerial duels, and blocked one shot.
Teammate Lisandro Martinez also posted on social media after the win, praising Manchester United fans for their support cheering the team on.
United have a strong partnership with these two, with strong back-up options. This was the club’s fourth Premier League clean sheet in 10 games this season, a strong platform to build from.
