Bruno Fernandes believes Manchester United have “more identity” under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
The Portuguese international was sat alongside the German coach for today’s pre-match press conference, ahead of the Champions League last-16 first-leg against Atletico Madrid tomorrow.
The former Sporting Lisbon man was brought to the club by Solskjaer just over two years ago, but after the Norwegian parted ways with his beloved Reds in November, Rangnick took over the reins on an interim basis.

Towards the end of Ole’s reign, there was no clear philosophy or style to our play. Instead, we looked a disjointed bunch of individuals who had lost faith in the manager’s ability to overturn the major slump in form.
Solskjaer and Rangnick’s attention to detail is almost seemingly chalk and cheese. The 63-year-old famed for his ‘gegenpressing’ has a clear identity of how he wants the game to be played.
When asked in today’s press conference whether he and his teammates have any involvement in discussing tactics before games, Fernandes stated that he hadn’t heard any complaints from the dressing room about the approach Rangnick was adopting.

Fernandes said: “No one has to worry about the tactics more than the coach and the staff.
“We have to follow what the manager thinks is best and most important for us.
“And here in this club, I have never heard anyone complain about the tactics; it’s not respectful of the coach’s ideas.
“We have been doing well since he [Rangnick] arrived and have much more identity as a team.”
