Manchester United clashed with Real Madrid in Texas overnight with the Spanish giants coming out on top in a 2-0 win.
The game was relatively even, with United besting their opposition in possession. Both sides created chances while Madrid took theirs, with that the difference in the scoreline.
The game from a United perspective was ruined from the beginning with prized starlet Kobbie Mainoo taken off less than two minutes in, following a collision with Rodrygo.
Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a divine chipped finish that may have been offside.
The game then saw both sides squander chances before Los Blancos then sealed the win late through an overhead kick by Joselu.
The game finished 2-0 however despite the result, United have a lot of reasons to be positive about their performance.
One interesting moment was the duel between Lisandro Martinez and Bellingham which created many talking points.

Bellingham on Martinez
Midway through the first-half, Martinez came in late with a tackle on the prized Englishman.

The tackle prompted an angry response from the Madrid number five who shoved Martinez before the favour was returned.
Following the game, as reported by journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Bellingham had nothing but praise for his rival competitor.
He said: “The little tiff with Martinez is one of those things. He is a brilliant player. I came in at half-time and I was effing this and effing that.
“But when he came over to wish me all the best when he came off, I really respected it.”
It is good to see this level of sportsman ship between the two world-class players.
Martinez needs to be careful
Two games on the bounce now Martinez has put in a reckless challenge on the oppositions star player.
While it is important to make them aware of your presence, Martinez could be getting into a dangerous habit.
With the Premier League season a little over two weeks away, these tackles won’t be accepted when back under the scrutiny of VAR.
Therefore we think Martinez should calm down before this carries into the league and we see him suspended.
