Brighton & Hove Albion defender Adam Webster is expecting to face a completely different Manchester United with Erik ten Hag in charge, to the one the Seagulls battered 4-0 in May.
In last season’s penultimate Premier League came of the season, the Red Devils produced one of the worst performances of a pitiful campaign and Graham Potter’s side ran riot at the Amex Stadium.

A bewildered Ralf Rangnick, who was in interim charge, looked crestfallen as his side showed no fight and simply rolled over.
However, following a pre-season schedule which has seen Ten Hag’s exciting philosophy emerge and the players buy into the 52-year-old’s intense blueprint, there is cause for optimism as a new dawn begins at Old Trafford.
Brighton’s Adam Webster expecting ‘tough’ Manchester United test

Ten Hag’s first competitive game in charge of the Red Devils sees Brighton travel to the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday for our Premier League opener.
While everyone connected and associated with Manchester United will be keen to erase the memory of last season’s horror show, Brighton centre-back Webster is expecting a ‘tough’ United test come Sunday.
The 27-year-old has revealed that Brighton are expecting a “difficult” test after watching clips of the Reds in action under the two-time Eredivisie winner.

Speaking to the club’s website, Brighton’s number four said: “Clearly the game will be a lot different to when we beat them 4-0 in May.
“They have a new manager with a different philosophy and you can already see how differently they are playing from the pre-season clips we’ve seen, and how difficult it is going to be for us.
“Their fans will up for it as it’s the first game of the season so it’s a really tough test for us but it’s a challenge we can embrace.”

The 4-0 defeat in May was Potter’s first win against the Red Devils after losing the previous six encounters.
