Manchester United are closing in on a move for Ajax winger Antony, The Athletic report.
The Brazilian publicly expressed his desire to make the switch, with an explosive interview with Fabrizio Romano via YouTube.
The deal is expected to be wrapped up shortly, with the clubs set to agree a fee around £84 million. Fabrizio Romano last night reported a deal has been agreed in principle.
Ajax’s players have also accepted Antony is leaving, with striker Brian Brobbey wishing him luck for when his move to Manchester United’s move goes through.

Brobbey wishes Antony well
Quoted by NOS, Brobbey says he has only seen Antony briefly over the past week, with the winger ‘on strike’, not training or playing with the Ajax team.
He said: “I’ve seen him at Ajax in recent days, but not very much.”
Brobbey added that he feels the striker’s departure is inevitable and he hopes he does well at Manchester United when he leaves.
He said: “When he’s finished, I wish him the best. I hope he does well there.
“Antony is of course a great loss, but we also have other players who can fill it in well.”
Brobbey could have been playing with Antony at Manchester United, but he turned down a move to Old Trafford, he told last week, after Erik ten Hag reached out to him.
His exit will certainly be felt at Ajax – but they will have plenty of cash to spend on their squad, which they will no doubt invest wisely.
