Manchester United loanee Shola Shoretire has received praise from Bolton Wanderers teammates for making an immediate impact at the club.

The 18-year-old has started back-to-back League One games for The Whites having made his debut for the former Premier League club earlier this month.

The attacking midfielder’s move to the University of Bolton Stadium is his first loan move away from Old Trafford.

Despite only making three appearances for Ian Evatt’s Bolton side, who currently sit fifth in League One, Shoretire has made quite the impression in the short time he’s been at the club.

Bolton’s new number 17 was brought off ten minutes into the second half of yesterday’s 2-1 win at Charlton Athletic.

Speaking after his side’s win at The Valley, Evatt revealed that the teenager had an issue with his back but he hoped it wasn’t anything serious.

Evatt said: “Shola was really exciting in the first half – he was electric – some of the pockets and positions he took up, I was really pleased with that.

“Shola had a bit of a back spasm and we don’t really know what it is at the moment – we’re hoping it was an impact injury and his back has kind of gone into spasm, but we shall see.”

Evatt will be hoping to have Shoretire, who has made five appearances for the United first team, available for Bolton’s next game which sees Cheltenham Town travel to The Whites on Saturday.

Shoretire posted on Instagram after Bolton’s win against The Addicks, and he didn’t mention the injury he sustained, but his post was met with a lot of love from his new teammates.

Conor Bradley, who is on loan from Liverpool, commented: “Baller”, while Kyle Dempsey wrote “quality” and Aaron Morley replied: “Some player”.
