Manchester United have secured top scorer Marcus Rashford to a new contract and the deal has proven popular.
After scoring 30 goals last season, Manchester United were desperate to get Marcus Rashford signed up to a new contract.
The deal finally was announced last night, with director John Murtough lauding Rashford as a ‘brilliant player’, via the club website.
Rashford’s new contract extends his deal to 2028, providing the club with much needed security over his future.

Marcus Rashford deal praised
Diogo Dalot and Raphael Varane were the first players to reach out to congratulate Marcus Rashford on his contract on social media.
Lisandro Martinez subsequently followed, along with Manchester United striker coach Benni McCarthy, who wrote ‘Congratulations bro’.
McCarthy has widely been credited with having a role in Rashford’s return to form and he will be delighted he is staying long-term.

Bruno Fernandes message
There was also a message from Portugal international Bruno Fernandes, who posted a note on his Instagram Stories.
Fernandes wrote, ‘Well deserved kid! This is your home’ in his message to his teammate. The pair have had a strong connection on the pitch ever since he signed from Sporting, and it is great they will be able to continue.
