The 22-year-old Slovenian forward was an unused substitute in Man Utd’s 2-0 win over Manchester City at Old Trafford, which was Carrick’s first match in charge.
Sesko has featured in Carrick’s subsequent four Premier League matches as United interim manager and the striker has had a meaningful impact for his side.
The Slovenia international climbed off the bench earlier this month and Sesko netted a stunning injury-time winner in Man Utd’s encounter with Fulham at Old Trafford.
Sesko came to the Red Devils’ rescue again earlier this week, with the former RB Leipzig ace scoring a sensational equaliser in Man Utd’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Benjamin Sesko appeared on the latest episode of Manchester United’s official podcast and the forward was asked about his experience under Michael Carrick.
The former RB Salzburg talent not only praised Carrick’s influence on the Red Devils first-team squad, but he talked up the impact of the United coaching staff as well.

“First of all, he’s an amazing person,” Sesko said on Inside Carrington.
“That’s already meaning really a lot, but as well, a really good coach. And not just him, the whole staff that he has with him, they’re working unbelievably.”

Carrick brought in key figures into the Red Devils coaching staff after his appointment, including former England assistant manager Steve Holland.
Sesko has said that Carrick and his United backroom staff have been doing everything in their power to provide as much detail to the Red Devils players.

“They’re giving all the details that you need to improve, to get better, to know what to do in the game, because it’s important,” he continued.
“And they’re always good with communications [sic], as he and the other staff.
“So, I’m really happy that he came here and also happy with what we have achieved around it.”
Sesko has found the back of the net seven times and picked up one assist in 23 matches for Man Utd across all competitions in his debut campaign at Old Trafford.
