Jonny Evans was reunited with his former Manchester United teammate Ben Foster last night as the Red Devils took on Wrexham.
Evans is at Manchester United on a short-term deal, helping the squad during pre-season. He is a free agent, and it is possible the Red Devils consider him beyond this.
The 35-year-old played 78 minutes of the friendly defeat to Wrexham last night, before making way for youngster Willy Kambwala.
Wrexham won the game 3-1, and after the game Ben Foster spoke to The United Stand and praised Evans.

Ben Foster praises Jonny Evans
Foster said that Jonny Evans was a topic of discussion among Wrexham’s players after the defeat.
He said: “For me, Jonny Evans was the guy today, I love him, he’s a Rolls Royce honestly. He went out there tonight he was the most comfortable defender.
“He’s one of the best defenders I’ve ever played with, Jonny Evans. I know he will do a job.
MORE UNITED STORIES
“All our lads were saying ‘he could slot into our team easy’. He’s exactly the defender you need, he’ll take a touch, composed, lay it off.”
Evans completed 93 per cent of his passes against Wrexham, showcasing his quality in possession.
Evans future uncertain
It is unclear what the future now holds for Jonny Evans, who began training with the club a fortnight ago simply to keep fit.
After an injury to young defender Rhys Bennett, United decided to sign Evans on a short-term basis to provide cover for the games with Lyon and Wrexham.
What happen next is unclear. His return to United has put him on the map again. The Telegraph report newly promoted Burnley are interested in the defender.
It is still possible Evans could re-sign with United, as a replacement for Harry Maguire if the England defender is sold. This would enable funds to be directed towards a striker.
